Formed in 1990, Bettie Serveert quickly climbed to the top of the indie underground with their debut record “Palomine” which highlighted Carol van Dyk's seductive voice and Peter Visser’s emotional guitar playing.  The band's bittersweet melodies and their unique and unmistakable heavy sweet guitar led the debut record all the way to Gold status in the Netherlands while their second album “Lamprey” was hailed by Melody Maker as the most tangled, desolate, real life guitar sound of the year.

Bettie Serveert has toured extensively throughout Europe and North America in the good company of acts like Dinosaur Jr., Belly, Buffalo Tom, Superchunk, Come, Jeff Buckley and Wilco.  Eighteen years and eight albums have passed since Bettie Serveert first formed in Amsterdam.  Their latest disc “Pharmacy of Love” captures the Betties raw, contagious energy that people have come to know from their live show and will be released on Sound of Pop Records on March 23, 2010 while their 4-song digital only EP “Deny All” will be available in Canada on January 26.
